Winter Scene Hanging Library Lamp

This circa 1880's kerosene oil Victorian hanging lamp is fitted with a winter scene shade. All brass frame, with fancy embossed side arms, original fancy embossed font, and working canopy motor/winder intact. Professionally polished and ready for use. Still in original kerosene oil condition, never drilled or electrified. The period Bristol shade is hand painted (fired on) with a winter scene decoration, all around the body of the shade.The scene shows a cabin, lake and mountains covered in snow. Paper thin glass, with early rolled over top. All glass and metal flawless, no chips cracks breaks. The lamp is 32" long overall, and will extend at least another 14". It is approximately 16" across the side arms, with a standard 14" shade. Exceptional condition, with popular Victorian subject matter. Pristine period Victorian hanging lamp for any collection or decor.
